  • Microsoft Cancels Security Essentials for Windows XP - Poor old Windows XP, Microsoft should at least let this venerable old OS go out with some dignity instead of stripping it down to bare bones and tossing it out the back door. After April 8, 2014, technical assistance for Windows XP will no longer be available, including automatic updates that help protect your PC. Microsoft will also stop providing Microsoft Security Essentials for download on Windows XP on this date.
  • Gamers Targeted by Hackers, Kaspersky Labs Warns - Kaspersky Labs turned their attention to the gaming side of the Internet and found that gamers were the main target of cyber attacks around the world. Kasperski has identified 4.6 million pieces of gaming-focused malware to ruin your gaming experience.
  • Obama to announce changes to NSA surveillance on Jan. 17 - President Obama will deliver his highly anticipated speech on reforms to the National Security Agency on Jan. 17, White House press secretary Jay Carney said Friday. Carney did not elaborate on what the president will say when he outlines his vision for changes to the NSA's vast surveillance activities. The address comes in the wake of disclosures from documents stolen by former government contractor Edward Snowden.

  • Stalingrad 3D Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Stalingrad is directed by Fedor Bondarchuk (9th Company, The Inhabited Island previously). It is 1942. The Soviet army plans to mount a counter-attack on the Nazi forces that occupy half of Stalingrad on the other side of river Volga. But the operation to cross the river is unsuccessful. A few soldiers who managed to get to the other side take refuge in a house on the bank of Volga. Here they find a girl who did not escape when the Germans came. True romance would blossom in this unlikely place amid the bloodiest battle in the history of mankind. Columbia Pictures releases the film on IMAX 3D screens for one week February 28th.
  • Clown - Official Teaser Trailer - Clown is produced by horror mastermind Eli Roth and directed by Jon Watts, from a script he co-wrote with Chris Ford. Based on a fake horror trailer, the film follows a father who puts on a clown costume for his son's birthday, but a curse doesn't allow him to take it off and turns him into a brutal killer. Andy Powers stars in the film along with Laura Allen and Peter Stormare, but the film doesn't have a release date yet. I expect it to hit some film festivals, maybe South by Southwest in March...
