  • AMD Phenom II X3 720 / X4 810 / X4 920 Tested - Phenom II processors demonstrate more attractive performance than their direct competitors from the Core 2 series. For example, the 810 processor looks much better than the Q8200 and the Q6600, which has a much larger cache. Phenom II X3 has a significant advantage -- the third core. So it's a more promising product, demonstrating no worse, or even better performance in most tests. In fact, this processor makes dual-core CPUs justified only in the budget category, which lacks triple-core models, or in case of some specific tasks.
  • Phenom II AM3 Facing DDR3-1333 Stability Issues - If you're eying an AMD Phenom II AM3 platform, you'll want to pay attention to this budding issue. TechPowerUp reports that AMD has acknowledged a limitation with the DDR3 memory sub-system.
  • AMD to Launch Radeon HD4890 in April 2009 - The RV790XT A11 sample has a clockspeed of 850Mhz and a operating voltage of 1.3V. It will likely be paired with 975Mhz GDDR5 memory. By comparision, the current Radeon HD4870 (RV770) model runs at 750MHz core clock and 900MHz memory clock
  • Nvidia Plans GeForce GTS 240 & 9800 GT 'Green' - Nvidia is going to silently launch a new 9800 GT Green edition in Mid March where the VGPU will be lowered and that results in core clocks reduction from 600 to 550MHz and shader clock from 1500 to 1375MHz
  • ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10-Inch Netbook $25 off - Amazon has fairly good deal for ASUS Eee PC 1000HE 10-Inch Netbook (1.66 GHz Intel Atom N280 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, 10 GB E-Storage, Bluetooth, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Black.
  • Lenova 12" Notebook Soon - Lenovo reportedly plans to launch an Atom N280-based IdeaPad S20 netbook featuring a 12-inch panel. The specification would break Intel's restrictions for netbook products that state devices cannot offer panel sizes larger than the 10-inch category, according to sources at notebook makers. As a consequence for breaking the restrictions, Lenovo will lose out on preferential pricing for the N280 processor, and would end up having to buy at Intel's officially announced price, which is around US$10 higher than typical quotes to vendors of Lenovo's size, the sources noted.
  • Rivatuner 2.23 for Forceware 182.xx and Catalyst 9.1 - Rivatuner has been updated towards version 2.23 In this release we have included a huge number of new stuff to keep you busy, obviously GeForce 9x00 / GTX 200 series support has been added as well as ForceWare GeForce drivers up-to 181.xx and AMD ATI Catalyst 8.12 support.
  • Microsoft Opening Retail Stores - Microsoft is planning to do what Apple did successfully and what Dell and Gateway failed to do: launch a retail store chain
  • Facebook: We own your content forever, and ever - Facebook's terms of service (TOS) used to say that when you closed an account on their network, any rights they claimed to the original content you uploaded would expire. Not anymore.
  • Woman, not breast-feeding, thrown off Facebook - I  am not sure why people act surprised when their Facebook account is closed after they post semi-nude pictures on the site. The way this girl is talking (claiming she is losing business), I smell a lawsuit coming
  • Pirate Bay file-sharing defended - The founders of a website which carries links to copies of music, films and TV programmes have gone on trial in Sweden on charges of copyright theft. "It is legal to offer a service that can be used in both a legal and illegal way, according to Swedish law," Mr Samuelsson said at the opening of the trial, which is expected to last three weeks. He said the site "can be compared to making cars that can be driven faster than the speed limit".
  • Conficker worm infects more than a million PCs - The $250000 bounty Microsoft has put up for information on of the controllers of the globe-spanning Conficker worm seems about right
  • HTC Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2 Announced - The second generation HTC Touch Diamond (which we know as the Diamond2) gets a screen upgrade, from 2.8in to 3.2in, with an accompanying resolution boost from VGA (480x640) to WVGA (480x800). The lauded TouchFlo 3D alternative interface now reaches a bit deeper into Windows Mobile 6.1, making a few more functions touch-friendly, but stopping short of a total overhaul.
  • Samsung unveils solar-powered phone - For starters, the back side of the Blue Earth has been outfitted with a large solar panel. They say that this panel will be able to generate enough electricity to make a phone call any time that you want.
  • I am a PC and 7 years old (video) - Last week we had Kylie, a 4 year old girl using Windows Live Photo Gallery to send pictures to her family, in the new Microsoft Rookies ad campaign. Now we have Alexa, a 7 year old who yet again uses Windows Live Photo Gallery. Alexa takes different pictures of her room and puts it all in one picture to make a panaromic picture using Windows Live Photo Gallery The ad still sticks to its underlying message which is, how easy are Windows products to use. Microsoft quotes, "It's easy at any age with Windows Live Photo Gallery. If Alexa can do it, how about you?"
  • Hubble in trouble after satellite crash -  A pair of satellites collided last Wednesday and the resulting debris poses a greater than normal risk to damage the Hubble Space Telescope
  • Lesbian Vampire Killers - Full Trailer - Lesbian Vampire Killers is directed by British filmmaker Phil Claydon, of the 2002 horror flick Alone. The script was co-written by Paul Hupfield and Stewart Williams, both of the British TV series "Balls of Steel" previously. For those from England, the film stars James Cordon and Mathew Horne, the duo from the TV series "Gavin & Stacey". Lesbian Vampire Killers is scheduled to hit theaters in the UK in March of 2009, but doesn't have a US distributor yet. With some luck, we can expect to see this sometime in 2009
  • Fight Scene from the Street Fighter Movie - Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li is directed by ex-cinematographer Andrzej Bartkowiak, who directed Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave, and Doom previously. The script was penned by up-and-coming screenwriter Justin Marks, who also penned screenplays for Masters of the Universe and Voltron. Hong Kong fight choreographer Dion Lam, who previously worked on The Matrix Trilogy, Spider-Man 2, and all of Bartkowiak's previous films, is handling the fight sequences. Fox is debuting Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li in theaters everywhere on February 27th.

In the film, opening in theaters on June 12th, the Washington stars as New York City subway dispatcher Walter Garber, whose ordinary day is thrown into chaos by an audacious crime: the hijacking of a subway train. Travolta stars as Ryder, the criminal mastermind who, as leader of a highly-armed gang of four, threatens to execute the train's passengers unless a large ransom is paid within one hour.
  • Another Stunning Watchmen TV Spot! - Watchmen is directed by Zack Snyder (of Dawn of the Dead and 300) and is written by David Hayter (The Scorpion King, X-Men, X-Men 2) and Alex Tse. The film is an adaptation of Alan Moore's highly acclaimed award winning graphic novel of the same name. Watchmen officially arrives in theaters everywhere on March 6th, 2009.
  • New X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV Spots Online - The new TV Spot for X-Men Origins: Wolverine is online. I like how this clip shows where this movie fits. It will be telling an origin story, but also just an early story of Wolverine with flashbacks to his youth. Fox will debut X-Men Origins: Wolverine in theaters everywhere on May 1st.
  • Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Trailer Online - Check it out! If you pause it at 1:39, i'm pretty sure we can see the fallen :P
  • The Simpsons new title sequence, first change in 19 years! - For the first time in the show's history, The Simpsons will be in HD for all to see Sunday night, as well as the first full, permanent revamp of the show's opening titles since its premiere in 1989. Fox will also air both a full-length and an abbreviated version of the credits.

  • Scarlett Johansson's Cleavage Is Convincing - Here are some new shots of Scarlett Johansson's Dolce & Gabanna campaign. Unlike the last set that came out last month, these ones show much more cleavage which makes the whole Marilyn Monroe recreation that much more authentic. Nice.
  • Bar Refaeli in a Bikini - Can we ever get enough of bikini and lingerie model Bar Refaeli? Well, today's photos are quite artistic, not like the usually gratuitous breasts and ass photos that we have all come to enjoy. Either way, I don't have a problem with it and neither should you. Enjoy, guys!
