Athlon X2 Is Dead - Long Live Athlon 6000 - AMD will soon phase out several Athlon 64 X2 CPUs and launch a new line of dual-core products based on its next-generation (K10) architecture
AMD to launch triple-core Phenom CPUs in March 2008 - AMD will launch two B2 stepping triple-core CPUs, Phenom 8600 and 8400 in March of next year
AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition Overclocking Test - The 9600 at 2.5 GHz is also quite competitive with the Q6600. Considering that the 9600 in both flavors is now cheaper than the Q6600, it does make it a viable option for those interested in the price/performance bottom line.
8800GS 192bit 384MB/768MB released - The first card showing up today is a Yeston 8800GS made by Palit. The Card only have 6 memory chip, and the mark on the GPU is G92-150. The SP is not 96 we mentioned earlier, but 112, the same with 8800GT. The second card in the next page is 8800GS 192bit 768MB GDDR3. The main difference is the core and shader clock higher than 384MB version. 384MB have a HDMI slot while 768MB have two DVI. 768MB version’s memory chip is from Samsumg, have 12 memory chips totally.
