  • Intel sues Nvidia over chipset license - Intel filed a lawsuit against Nvidia late on Monday, alleging that the two companies' current four-year-old chipset license agreement does not extend to Intel's upcoming CPUs with "integrated" memory controllers.

  • Dell prepares to ship 10-inch Inspiron Mini 10 - The new Inspiron Mini's display has a 16:9 aspect ratio with a 1024x576 resolution, and it can purportedly scale up to 1024x768 (though Dell says the former res is a "better fit for the widescreen display"). This system is also outfitted with Intel Atom Z520 or Z530 processors, 1GB of non-upgradable memory, 802.11g Wi-Fi, a 160GB mechanical hard drive, HDMI display output, and a copy of Windows XP. With the default three-cell battery, Dell says the Inspiron Mini 10 tips the scales at just 2.86 lbs. Prices are supposed to start at $399, but the config up on QVC right now costs $559

  • Another Exploit Targets IE7 Bug - If you are current on your patches, you are fine. Analysis by Trend Micro researchers reveal that BKDR_AGENT.XZMS takes screenshots of the infected system and sends these screenshots to a remote malicious location. It also creates a hidden Internet Explorer window which connects to a website to listen for commands.
  • Adobe Warns of Critical, Unpatched Security Flaw - Adobe says that attackers are taking advantage of a new, unpatched critical security flaw in Adobe Acrobat 9 and Reader 9. Adobe advises people to update their virus definitions and exercise caution when opening documents from unknown sources.

It's being distributed by Universal Pictures in the US. The Boat That Rocked will hit theaters in the UK in early April, but does not have an official release date for the US just yet. Internet Explorer is a piece of trash, I use 8 myself. I use it only when forced too. Primarily I use Firefox. I just download a Security add-on, No-Script and cruise the net in bliss.

If you use Internet Explorer 7 (gasp) you can get something called IE7 Pro. It makes the experience a little safer, more customizable and a wee bit faster. It's free too.
