Anyways, I'm pretty keen for an upgrade because I am still running my 3500+ from a couple years ago. This 45nm update will be the way to go for sure. The chips should clock harder than even the new 65nm g0 step Q6600.
I just have not figured out if it's worth jumping on the DDR3 train just yet. I will be looking to get the new system in Jan.

Awesome Toothpick Fork Trick (video) -
Didn't find that as interesting as i thought it was going to be.
I mean it's not like the toothpick (burnt off end) acted as a counter-balance? Besides, if you broke a tooth pick in half the approx length as the point it balanced at, it would still balance on the end.

DDR3 modules are still too expensive and they are not much faster than
DDR2.

Good link, thanks. Yeah it seems silly to go DDR3 even in Jan. Although by the end of next year I think it would have taken hold and have more mainstream prices. I guess I could just swap mobo and ram later in the year if the performance benefit is worth it...and it looks like it will be.
