the Eee PC 1101HA is pretty much on par with the

given that the two share the same processor and memory configuration.
The obvious game-changer here is the Seashell's ability to be
overclocked. When comparing benchmark numbers with the Atom Z520 pushed
to 1.74GHz, the Eee PC 1101HA was clearly superior -- it even managed
to outclass the Aspire One 8.9" equipped with a 1.60GHz Atom N270 in
every test except Super Pi's 4M test.
- MSI's tablet PC to launch 2H10, $500 MSRP - MSI
has released new details of their Tablet PC.
The Android based operating system will sell for $500 MSRP, but MSI
mentioned that it will be flexible with what features consumers want.
- HP releases new video of the Windows 7 Slate PC - HP
has released a teaser video
of the new Windows 7 slate PC, first demonstrated during the Microsoft
CES 2010 keynote. Unfortunately there's still no pricing information
available or a firm release date.

- NVIDIA releases 196.34 beta drivers - A
couple days ago, NVIDIA posted WHQL-certified ForceWare

prevented GPU overclocking. oh! NVIDIA's been working hard to resolve
this issue, and has just issued new ForceWare 196.34 drivers (WinXP 32-bit, Vista/Win7 32-bit, Vista/Win7 64-bit) that fix the
problem.

- New un-patched IE flaw found a day after latest
hotfix
(video) - A security research firm said it discovered another
set of vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, a day after
Microsoft Corp patched the Web browser following a high-profile cyber
attack on Google in China. The new attack uses smaller
un-patched vulnerabilities in
Internet Explorer, small enough they couldn't compromise a system, but
together they can overwhelm Internet Explorer and give access to a
users machine if the individual clicks on a malicious link.
- Google Chrome updated for Windows, bookmark
sync&extensions added - Google has released a stable
version of Google Chrome for Windows
with bookmark sync and extensions. Google Chrome will now allow you to
add extensions to your browser to make accessing news sites,
activities, and many more things in a single click. Google Chrome for
Windows also added bookmark syncing for users with a Google account,
allowing them to sync bookmarks to their account. Users with a Google
account can sync their bookmarks on different computers.

over 1500 new features!
- Get $500-$1337 for finding Google Chrome bugs - While
Mozilla offers up to $500 for bug reports,
Google will offer a base reward of $500 to anyone who submits an
eligible bug. If a user finds a severe or clever bug, Google will pay
up $1337 (surely appealing to all of our inner geeks) to the developer
who discovers it. Flaws must be submitted through the Chromium bug
tracker, and all submissions will be considered by a panel of
engineers. That includes bugs in Chromium, Chrome and plug-ins such as
Google Gears.
- Google begins dropping support for Internet

- Google has announced that soon it will begin
dropping support for the outdated software. The announcement earlier,
made on the Google Enterprise Blog, states
that beginning March 1, Google Docs and Google Sites will no longer
work correctly when viewed in Internet Explorer 6.

McAfee and Norton are both bloated junk. I'll stick with ESET NOD32.
