SpyHunter played on Zodiac
Tapwave officially announced it began shipping the Zodiac, its mobile entertainment console. The console is offered in two models - the Zodiac for $299 (32MB RAM) and the Zodiac(2) for $399 (128MB RAM). Here is a bit from the PR:
Since officially announcing the company six months ago, over 1200 game developers have signed up for the Tapwave developer program and requested the software development kit (SDK). The majority of these developers are coming from established computing and entertainment platforms (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Game Boy) and over 40% are from international markets. Already these developers have specifically optimized several titles to take advantage of the Zodiac's analog controller, high resolution display (480 x 320), landscape and portrait modes, interactive touch screen, and graphics acceleration. A few examples of these games include: Crimson Fire's Galactic RealmsĀ® and Phantom Strike, Handmark's Warfare Incorporated, MegaSoft 2000's MegaBowling and Billiards. We expect this community of developers to produce many more exciting and innovative titles in the months ahead.

Tapwave is also partnering with leading game publishers to bring well-known premiere titles to Zodiac console users. A few of these premiere titles include: Activision's Tony Hawk's Pro SkaterĀ® 4, Midway's SpyHunter, id Software(TM) DOOM II, Atari's Neverwinter Nights(TM) and Apogee's Duke Nukem Mobile(TM).

That screen shot looks like pure shit. This is what happens when a bunch of second rate ex-Palm employees (especially retards like Peng Lim, their CEO) think they know something about gaming and try to make a company in a market they have no idea about. The only games these exPalm dorks play is hide the salami with eachother. And where the hell would one buy a Zodiac? Gamestop.com and EBGames.com do not even list this device! I thought they were trying to appeal to gamers? Get some retail shelf space at game shops for fucks sake. Hopefully, this device will die and quick and painless death like the NGage.

I cannot believe it! The Tapwave's shipping games are actually WORSE than the NGage's release games. This is not a good way to start out their "revolutionary handheld".

$299? $399? Heh. Try $29.99 and $39.99 if you expect anyone to buy these!
