This whole series seems like a mod pack for what used to be a really good game. The reviewer is definitely correct when stating that this game is really for fans of Star Wars who need an RTS to make their gaming experience feel complete. I honestly feel that this game is actually much worse than AOE2. Personally, when I think of Star Wars, I think of something that is a little more fast paced (for instance, Jedi Knight 2) - not slow paced like a sprite based RTS. At least it isn't turn based like Civilization.

well all I have to say is that I am not a hard core Star Wars fan. But c'mon have some decency and give credit where it is due. Still an excellent program.

This game is using another strategy than AOE2 which is good.Air units are fun to play with. However, I found this game easier to play than AOE2, AI in AOE2 are more aggressive

Although a modded AOE2 I think this game does well to remove the 'get millions of troops and charge the enemy' tactics. There's great variation with units and I disagree that the graphics are bad. Yeah its sprite based but then its done well and not everyone has praphics hardware to play the newer (and generally not as polished) 3d RTS'? Overall LucasArts playing it safe and quite rightly.

This game rules, if your a warcraft or AOE fanatic then you will love this game. But if you love Star Wars then your goona be hooked. But remember p0NYB0y™ is the Master of SWGB CC for mac on GameRanger

I have both AoE2 and SWGB, and I prefer SWGB over AoE2. A lot of the technologies are the same, sure, but the units are quite different. Units cost quite a bit more in this game than in AoE2, making for smaller armies and more strategy. I agree with you WittZi.

just to warn some people, there is a cheat app out called "The Trainer" that gives you unlimited amount of resources or what ever u need for any game. I know the [zeke] clan uses it, so be warned some people will ruin games by cheating.

This is a great game the units are right from the movies. I think the best civ is the Empire because you can get the At-At's used in The Empire Strikes Back. Don't forget PUNiSHER is the master of SWGB CC for mac on Gameranger!

Just to let people know there is "NO TRAINER PROGRAM" for SWGB on the mac. You don't have to worry about your opponents using a "Cheat" when playing you online.
