- New Wolfenstein Game Revealed -
This Yahoo story gives a few clues about the next Wolfenstein game which
is currently in development over at Raven; who also gave us Quake IV not too
long ago. The article focuses on the participation of an actress local to
Raven's Madison, WI offices in the creation of the game, almost off-handedly
saying: "The company is currently working on a new game based on the
'Wolfenstein' series, and with newer motion-capture technology, it is
working with a local actress to be the character in its movie."
However, the game won't come out until sometime in 2008, and the name and
many other details about it are being kept secret.
- Mark Rein On UT3 DX10 - He said "DX10 -
Supported yes but absolutely NOT required." Doesn't get more direct than
that. Rest easy, conspiracy theorists, DX10 will be an extra goody for those
that have it, while those that don't will be pleased to know that Vista will
not keep them from enjoying Unreal Tournament 3. (thanks
Beyond Unreal)
- Microsoft is Screwing Up Live on Vista - Perhaps Vista's
networking security stuff is actually necessary for Live, I dunno. Okay,
fine…we need to buy your expensive new OS to use Live. Fair enough. I can
still sit there browsing the web and get a game invite or a message over
Live, right? Or set up a Live voice or video chat? Nope.
Live on the PC only runs while you're actually playing a Live-enabled game.
So in order for my friends to see me online on my PC, I have to actually
have Halo 2 or Shadowrun running. This sort of defeats the point, and it's
not the way the 360 has worked for the last 18 months
- Parasite Eve 3 revealed as cell phone title - Though Japanese
mobile technology is admittedly more advanced than what we usually see in
North America,
it appears that Aya Brea and company will not be seen in lush cinematic
sequences for which the series was once praised
