  • First gaming benchmarks surface for Intel Core i9-9900KS - Tomshardware got its hands on this upcoming CPU and benchmarked it in six games. The CPU performed within expectations, though there were some minor performance improvements over the 9900K model. Overall, the Core i9-9900KS sets the new bar for gaming performance.  At stock settings, they mostly matched the performance of a highly-overclocked Intel Core i9-9900K with far less power consumption, which is plenty impressive. Intel has extended its lead in gaming over AMD's lineup, but we have to maintain perspective. The Ryzen 9 3900X offers a lower price point and is more agile in heavily-threaded workloads, particularly in productivity applications. It also comes with other advantages, like support for PCIe 4.0. Intel's Core i9-9900KS offers those last few frames of performance that the most dedicated enthusiasts demand, but it does come at a hefty price (I expect the CPU won't be cheap). In my opinion, the best option for Intel is to retire the previous 9900K model and start offering the 9900KS at the very same price.
  • AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X, 3970X and 3990X Launch Dates Leaked - The folks over at Videocardz managed to snag some impressive information on AMD-s upcoming Threadripper lineup - their launch dates. According to the tech publication, a source within AMD provided information regarding previously-set dates for paper and hardware launches that stand at November 5th for the formal announcement of the next generation HEDT CPUs, followed by lifted embargos on reviews and actual product availability come November 19th. Apparently, AMD will only launch the Threadripper 3960X and 3970X come November 5th (remember remember the 5th of November), with a product announcement for the Threadripper 3990X which will only be launched in January 2020.
  • AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.10.1 WHQL - AMD late Thursday released the Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.10.1 WHQL. These drivers are identical to the Adrenalin 19.10.1 Beta drivers released earlier this month, with the only difference being WHQL certification. AMD is picking up the pace with WHQL releases of Radeon Software, as more OEMs are implementing Radeon RX 5700-series and upcoming RX 5500-series GPUs, and prefer WHQL-signed drivers. The 19.10.1 drivers introduce support for AMD's new Radeon RX 5500 series graphics cards based on its new 7 nm "Navi 11" silicon, along with fixes for "Borderlands 3" running in DirectX 12 mode, optimization for "GRID," and fixes certain display problems with high refresh-rate settings.
  • Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York launches December 4 for PC - Narrative adventure game Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York will launch for PC via Steam on December 4 and for Switch in Q1 2020, developer Draw Distance announced. The company also said it is currently in talks with World of Darkness property holder Paradox Interactive about PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.
  • PlanetSide 3 Plans Confirmed - Despite the setback and repeated delays of PlanetSide Arena, producer Andy Sites reiterates this is a stepping stone towards PlanetSide 3, a sequel that's still in the works. Word is: "We're coming up on the 7th anniversary for PlanetSide 2. In early 2020, the PlanetSide franchise will celebrate its 17th since the original release back in 2003. Over those 16+ years, we have amassed millions of passionate fans. So when we think about what the PlanetSide 3 experience needs to be, we know that there are incredibly high expectations from all of you. PlanetSide Arena is intended to be the stepping stone to PlanetSide 3, which we envision expanding from the current battlefields of Auraxis, to full-fledged galactic war with empires exploring, colonizing and conquering one another within an expansive galaxy. We envision PlanetSide Arena as a way to allow us to link present day PlanetSide 2 and PlanetSide 3 story lines, as well as providing an opportunity to try out new features, styles of play, etc."
  • BATTLETECH Heavy Metal Next Month - A new Heavy Metal expansion is coming to BATTLETECH (announcement trailer) on November 21st, announces Paradox, who say this will add eight new mechs to the Windows, macOS, and Linux turn-based strategy game. Word is this will be sold separately, but it is part of the Season Pass for those who already own one
  • Stellaris Expansion and DLC Announced - Still more from Paradox Interactive is their announcement of two new add-ons for Stellaris: A major diplomacy-themed expansion called Federations coming later this year and a species pack DLC titled Lithoids which will launch on Thursday. They are now accepting preorders of Federations on Paradox Interactive; GOG.com; or Steam and you can also preorder Lithoids from Paradox Interactive; GOG.com; or Steam.   • Surviving the Aftermath Early Access - In Surviving the Aftermath, players will build and manage a colony of survivors in the shadow of a world-ending event. Resources are scarce following the apocalypse, and survival requires mastery of complex systems to optimize production and colony management to ensure nothing is wasted. Players will construct buildings, manage colonists, adapt to natural disasters and more in an effort to restore civilization. Surviving the Aftermath is more than a colony builder and enables players to go beyond the shelter to explore a dangerous world filled with unique biomes, hazards, bandits, and more. Recruit and send out teams of Specialists to gather resources and intelligence about the world around the colony. Players can see what their teams have discovered by utilizing a vast overworld map that adds layers of strategic gameplay not typically included in a colony builder. The game is now available in Early Access for Windows on the Epic Games Store and for Xbox One through Xbox Game Preview. This includes an early bird discount, and they say the full version of the game will launch in late 2020 through the Epic Games Store, Steam, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.   • Two Prison Architect Expansions Announced - Paradox Interactive announces Psych Ward: Warden's Edition, an expansion for Prison Architect that's coming to the incarceration simulation on November 21st along with a free update for the base game. They also reveal that plans are in place for an additional expansion they expect to bust out sometime next year.
  • Hearts of Iron IV La Résistance Announced - Paradox Development Studios is happy to announce Hearts of Iron IV: La Résistance, an expansion to the best-selling grand strategy wargame. La Résistance introduces a new espionage system to the game, and also increases the range of interactions and options with resistance movements in occupied territory.
  • Age of Wonders: Planetfall Revelations Revealed - Paradox's flood of new announcements today includes the revelation of Revelations, the first expansion for Age of Wonders: Planetfall, their sci-fi turn-based strategy game for Windows, Linux, and macOS. This will introduce ancient Heritor Secret Technology, new campaign missions, and location mechanics when it is released on November 19th.
  • Watch_Dogs 2 in first-person mode - HeySlickThatsMe has released a pretty cool new mod for Watch_Dogs 2. As the title suggests, this mod allows you to play Ubisoft’s open-world action adventure game via a first-person perspective.
  • BSNES Version 112 available - The team behind BSNES, an emulator for Super Nintendo, has released a brand new version of it. Version 112 comes with overclocking and input latency options. It also comes with a HD Mode 7 setting that lets you improve the visuals of all Mode 7 games.

I guess it's time to replace the Intel toothpaste with something else.

liquid metal?

FYI, AMD CPU's are soldered and cannot be delided or atleast not safely. Basically u have to heat them to around 200 degrees then remove the IHS and the remaining solder but there is no point in doing that because the solder does the job better than the liquid metal I mentioned above. Apparently, AMD did a pretty good job with the thermal interfaces of Ryzen.
