ZenGamer: How do you plan on making the game ‘fun’ to play? So many games based on modern fighters devolve into missile battles 10 miles out, and many casual gamers apparently don’t find that fun. Tsuyoshi Kawahito: One of the reasons for selecting this era was that this is still before all the modern wonder weapons. Guns remain the primary air-to-air weapon, and air combat still requires you to out-maneuver the opponent, just as in WWII dogfight. And we’ve also setup the environment so it feels more like WWII combat rather than modern jet combat – the player will be tasked with intercepting or escorting large bomber streams, or provide close-air-support to massive tank battles below. We hope all this would make it "fun" to play for everyone, from novices to hard-core flight simmers.
