HomeLAN chats with LucasArts' Reeve Thompson as he talks about the upcoming PC and Xbox versions of their hit PS2 game Star Wars: Starfighter. Here is a snip:
HomeLAN: What differences and extras will the PC game have over the PS2 version of Starfighter?
Reeve Thompson: Overall the game is very similar. We're keeping the missions as they were in the PS2 version, as well as all the other features of the game itself. However, visually the PC has some advantages over the consoles, most importantly when it comes to screen resolution. The PC version will support high screen resolutions which will make it look just stunning on the PC. We're also not as constricted when it comes to memory, so we've increased the resolution on all the textures for the PC version. These two things combined make Star Wars Starfighter for the PC look breathtaking. In fact thisis the preferred Star Wars Starfighter platform for many of the artists who worked on the game. [more]
