Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Is Disney+'s Most-Watched Original Series Premiere to Date - briefly

Obi-Wan Kenobi has turned out to be a pretty big success for Disney. A new tweet that was shared on the official Disney+ account today can confirm that Lucasfilm’s new series centered around Ewan McGregor’s titular Jedi Knight managed to score the biggest opening weekend yet for an original series on the mouse’s service based on hours streamed, beating out the premieres of other popular shows that presumably include The Mandalorian and WandaVision. Obi-Wan Kenobi is unique in that Lucasfilm and Disney decided to launch the show with not one, but two episodes for its premiere this past Friday, May 27, following a two-day delay from its originally intended release date. The third episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi will begin streaming tomorrow on Disney+.
