STALKER Lead Game Designer Joins the Areal Team - briefly

Alexey Sytyanov, the lead game designer for S.T.AL.K.E.R Shadow Of Chernobyl has moved his assets from the upcoming free-to-play MMO Survival game "Survarium" based loosely around the S.T.A.L.K.E.R Lore, and has now joined the Areal Team to work on their currently kick-starter game "Areal" which was rumored to have been worked on by past S.T.A.L.K.E.R Employes however this rumor has since been disproved until now. An update on the Areal kick-starter page quotes that "Alexey Sytyanov is now a full member of our team, and will go forward as Areal's producer." there has also been a personal quote from Alexey posted on the Areal Kick-Starter talking about his past experiences with S.T.A.L.K.E.R and it's development.

According to their Kickstarter, they have pooled all of their money together and the only way they can continue is with $50,000. It makes absolutely no sense. If they have nothing to show other than concept art then $50,000 is going to get them nowhere. It's most horribly botched kickstarter ever :(

Seems like a failed kickstarter, for a game without its own website... its not a good sign to me.

Only needing 50,000 in kickstater funding even though I'm sure they are funding a lot of the development themselves as they say, from the outside its just leaves more questions.

Wanting to make it for the Wii U.. now I'm just thinking they are crazy :D If I was Nintendo I would throw them money and see what they can do.

Anyway only just got into the beta of Survarium last week, played a few matches its not bad but its hardly finished. I could see it being a good game with attached single player storyline, economy built into the game basically a stalker2 and with mmo for multiplayer ... but just so many things that could have been but the developers involved in that project and all the rest of the shit surrounding it is confusing and messy. Its easy to see why most stay away from funding it.
