According to the official SpellForce: The Order of Dawn website, the first add-on to this RPG/RTS game has gone gold.  Spellforce Breath of Winter features an extensive 40h single player campaign and the new "Free Game" mode, allowing one to three players to compete against the computer with their own Avatars on a large range of separate maps. The add-on has undergone extensive testing with participation from the fan community and seen large improvements especially in the multiplayer network code. Spellforce Breath of Winter will be released in the UK on June 25th through Kochmedia.

Has anyone played the original of this, "Order of Dawn?" I heard it has like 100+ hours of gameplay alone, and now with this 40+ hour expansion that seems like a lot of game time investment. (Isn't Blade and Sword like 130+ hours gameplay too?) well--I'm just trying to find out if the 100 hours is true or not for anyone who's played/finished the game.

i played throught the original "Order of Dawn" and i never actually timed it! But it took me a very long time to complete, even though I normally complete games quickly! 100+ hours sounds about right! I will definately get this expansion pack, I cant wait! :)

For some reason spellforce never pulled me in , i dont think ill be getting this expansion :(

shame really, as I found it incredibly engrocing! Much more than NWN or Baldurs Gate were for me, this was prolly because it combined my 2 favorite types of game, RTS and RPG! :)

The main reason it didn't won me over it's the "lifeless" story, allmost boring. After that incredible intro movie, the snooze set it...

thats fair enough, but i quite enjoyed it! :) i guess people are different!
