The shorter playtime compared with SpellForce I is the result of a faster set-up phase, which was most often requested by the SpellForce community. Regarding the innovations in quests for SpellForce 2, there will be a lot of new and diverse challenges from the newly implemented elements in both the RPG and the RTS parts, which will allow for a much higher replay value due to the variety of missions. It needs to be stressed that SpellForce 2 is more quest-based than mission-based: the quests will take you trough several maps offering a variety of rewards for the player and also allowing him to continue them according to his own designs- while the world remains always consistent, so he is not forced into a strictly linear campaign. However his choices will have consequences further down the line and affect the world around him, so you may find a different branch of the game path when you replay with different choices.
