Sony has announced significant price increases for the PS5 lineup and PlayStation Portal, effective April 2, 2026, citing ongoing global economic pressures including RAM shortages driven by AI demand. In the US, the standard PS5 disc edition will rise to $649.99, the digital edition to $599.99, the PS5 Pro to $899.99, and the Portal to $249.99. This marks the second major US adjustment in recent years, following a 2025 increase, even as Sony secured some memory supply through 2026.
