Dan Gower - Soldiers: Heroes of World War II has (amongst many unique features) one key strength, and that is the Direct Control feature. This gives the player complete control over one or several units at any time - take direct control of a marksman, for example, and take out that enemy officer. Or use direct control with a Tiger tank, and drive your enemies back with suppressive fire, or take out an individual armored vehicle - the range of options open to the player are almost endless.
