According to This Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Wal-Mart removed the computer game "Sniper: Path of Vengeance" from its shelves in the Washington area Friday, in response to the series of sniper attacks there that began Oct. 2. A sniper has killed nine people and wounded two in the area, and officials are investigating links to a Saturday night shooting at an Ashland, Va., restaurant.
We have removed them from our shelves based on the sensitivity in the area," said Wal-Mart spokeswoman Karen Burke. "I don't think [the game] has anything to do with what is going on or with this kind of behavior. It was just the right thing to do."

Call me cynical but the only reason why "SNIPER" was pulled of the shelf is the same reason for the delay of the MOVIE, which is that SALES will be affected ! As soon as the man is caught they will release within a few weeks 2 capitalise on the publicity and all the bad press would be used to their advantage and save marketing COSTS ! Mark my triple chin and pot BELLY !

Lard Ass is absolutely right from his chin to his belly. This is the height of cynicism. And there's something else that makes this hypocrisy even worse. Any deranged madman can walk into Walmart, and leave minutes later with bullets and a scope. But oh no, you can't buy a video game...because maybe it'll inspire you to exchange it for the bullets and the scope. Brilliant, Walmart!
