HomeLAN - What types of things will the player get to do as a pirate in Sid Meier's Pirates?

Barry Caudill - Gameplay is very similar to the original game and it can be summed up in four words: It's all about you. As the player, you live the life of a pirate and you call all the shots. There is only one career really, pirate/privateer. You can choose what you will do and which country you will work for (although you can change that at any time if it suits you). On the high seas, you can attack enemy ships and engage them in battle. Once in battle, you can sink them, force them to surrender, or ram them and bard for a sword fight. You will also interact with many interesting characters, romance governor's daughters, find buried treasure, engage in intense land battles, and other cool pirate stuff.
