HomeLAN has posted an interview with Chris Owen of Activision Value as he talks about Secret Service: Security Breach, their upcoming value priced first person shooter that's being developed by 4DRulers (Gore makers). According to interview, the game is currently in late beta, and will be releasing soon. Here is a bit:

HomeLAN - What other unique gameplay elements will Secret Service: Security Breach have?

Crhis Owen - The real-time lighting and stencil shadowing make for a realistic environment. Some areas will require that you use the flashlight to get around. There are breakable objects, lights, and objects that will explode. Your opponents will take cover on the fly, they will duck behind cars, or peek around walls to protect themselves.

OMG, the screenshots look horrible! Activision ought to know that publishing a garbage title only taints their name, it doesn't enhance it. But then again, Activision doesn't really give a sh!t what gamers actually think outside of the Quake series of games.

this whole game concept is retarded. first secret service people probabaly don't get into a lot of shoot outs. and secondly there is more to secret service than shooting up people. the whole notion of secret service is its just another FPS with a riped of title name.

Yeah well it is from Activision Value, which is basically the same as Valusoft. This is not meant for real gamers, but casual gamers who know nothing of real games.

The stencil shadowing does look nice though, games look as sucky as all the rest value releases that never should have been released in the first place.

A few years ago, 4DRulers were full of promise. See the early screenshots of Gore which are dark and interesting--not the flaming crap that ultimately got released. Now, here they are doing value games for Activision's bargain basement label. Long way down, fellas.

Well what other FPS games are completely reaslistic *anonymous? and what are these "real" games you are talking about. 4d came out with one of the best FPS ever in Gore, but it got shot down right out of the box. Why? because they were forced to put in probably one of the cheesya**ed single player modes ever in the history of games. The reviewers didnt take the time to really check the multiplayer out that it was specifically made to be. And there is still a pretty hardcore (few hundred) peeps that play almost everyday. Multiplayer Gore is the most addictive games i've ever played, just ask my wife.

Personally I think gamers (hard core?) are spoiled now-a-days. All they want is more, more, more. Every game sucks if it doesn't go beyond that last great gaming level reached before. Stupid. A game doesn't NEED to be cutting edge to be appreciated and enjoyed, just well made. You arm-chair game reviewers got a lot to learn about what MAKES a game. I LMAO at the dumb schmucks who constantly scream the graphics suck (gee they we're ok 2-3 years ago) and proclaim the game a failure without even playing it. I'd call this a serious lack of intelligence. I'll admit - I'm a regular Gore player who loves the game. I think (as already stated) the SP version was a big mistake given that the game was developed all along for MP. I suppose DreamCatcher was responsible for that and made 4D Rulers come up with it quick. If I know anything about 4D (and I do) this game will be completely fun. Gore MP is. You know-it-alls should try it sometime. Just don't expect your usual bunny hoppng frag fest. Gore requires that you think before you act. Something most of you lack the ability to perform, based on your comments here.

"Objects that brake..." wow thats actually pretty amazing, do you think they will accerate too? completely useless, imo. the word is "break"; and frankly i'd love to challenge you to make ANYTHING break in a game you make. you can't, because you're useless. as far as i'm concerned, those screenshots for this game do not do it justice. most of us Gore players have seen other screenshots that flat out own 99% of those bsful games you h0m0s play. GORE is actually better than any games you guys have ever played too. if you actually *HAD* the game and spent more than 20 minutes playing it (instead of masterbating in ur moms bed) you would clearly find it to be quite addictive and cutting-edge. most of the features in that game you h0m0s haven't even THOUGHT OF. the only thing that brought down that game is the single player, which is sh!thouse to say the least, 4d nor the gore crew likes it at all and agree that it is, in fact, the worst SP created. but thats NOT why it was created. the multiplayer is state of the art and flat out owns all of you }{ard. i can go down the line and pretty much own all of your retarded half-baked posts about why this game will suck whereas you've only seen like 4 screenshots and a preconceived notion simply because of h0m0 reviewers who don't know jax sh!t about their job much less making a game... but i believe my comrads pretty much owned you all pretty hard and i do not believe you will recover, frankly. please, get up from your computer, stick ur head in the microwave, and melt that completely useless empty skull of yours. btw try gore if you're so skeptical :L completely useless h0m0s.

i will buy the game to see all the features that the amp2 engine can do. you can buy a personnal license for like 200 bux. i am sure the game is going to be great. i will admit i would like to see some better screen shots. 4drulers made a great multiplayer game "Gore", i cant wait to try out the SS2, to see how they have improved in making a single player game. i love shooters, they are just fun since i dont have hours to spend playing rpgs. as for those talking about graphix sux, well it doesnt matter much to me cuz if you dont have an awesome computer to run all the "eye candy" then graphix will sux all teh time.....but if the game is well made, (gameplay), then it will be fun, just like doom was and is still fun to play.....thnx

LAUGH my a$$ off at all u untalented "REVIEWERS" and "GAMERS". WITH 9 different SKINS, STAMINA drain, which means u actually pay a price when u get shot, DIFFERENT primary and secondary weapons for many skins, and the LACK of being able to JUMP around like some FAG BUNNY, it actually takes skill to play GORE MP. A player actually has to think and change strategy and tactic depending on what SKIN he/she is using. U n00b's won't be able to just come in GORE and own, in fact u will get OWNT for quite some time. Most can't take it and QUIT long before they ever get good. FOR those that have stuck around they realize beyond a shadow of a doubt that GORE MP is the BEST FPS out there bar none. NOT only could u n00bs not come into GORE and do well, U couldn't even come to OUR FORUMS WITHOUT WETTING URSELVES. KEEP ur weak fps games with your great GRAPHICS and DODGE gameplay. GORE mp is for REAL GAMERS.IN fact i'd bet a new system that if GORE players ever decided to jump to these "GREAT" games u GAI's play we would pretty much own your whole community within a week, IMO.

For some to play a particular game, it requires a bit more than flashy graphics and a recogniseable name on the boxcover. Some people actually think that GAMEPLAY is important in the games they play. Some people don't really care who made it as long as it's good. 4D rulers and the president of that company know gameplay. They didn't have a bank account as full as the big name developers and they didn't have the name recognition either, but they were in touch with what plays well, smooth, fast, furious and addicting. That alone makes SSII worth buying and giving a try. For you sheeple who prefer the big names and Flashiest graphics, just keep following the heard. Maybe you'll get lucky and some farmer will take a fancy to you and lead you into the living room one night.
