HomeLAN chats with Science and Industry's Mike "Cadaver" Rosser as he talks about their long running and unusual Half-Life mod. Here is a snip:
HomeLAN: Have you ever heard from anyone at Valve about their response to Science and Industry?
Cadaver: We've been in contact with Valve quite a few times - they've helped us out with some bugs, and Erik Johnson of Valve creates our installers for us. We've also been to visit them at their Kirkland offices - I was in the United States this summer doing research for my University dissertation, and took the opportunity to visit PapasNewBag in Seattle. He showed me around, and we took a trip up to Kirkland, where Yahn Bernier and Robin Walker showed us around the offices and took us to lunch - it was a good day out, the Valve guys are all very friendly, very nice place. We've never had much specific feedback on S&I from the Valve guys, but I don't imagine they would have been so hospitable to us if they were indifferent about it. Also, one of our old servers (no longer active) was apparently run by someone from the Valve offices, so we must have had at least one fan in the house :) [more]
