- SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate preview - Both
Gamehelper and
GameSpot have posted a previews of SWAT 4 - The Stetchkov
Syndicate, the upcoming expansion pack to this year's tense and exciting
realistic tactical combat game.
- Battle For Middle Earth 2 Q&A + trailer - GameSpot has posted
a Q&A with producer Mike Verdu talking about EA's expanded Lord of the
Rings license, new locations in the game, the new faction, the Risk-style
strategy metagame, and multiplayer. There's also a new
trailer.
- Hyboreal Games (ex-Blizzard folks) Interview -
The latest interview with Eric Sexton from newly-formed Hyboreal is up at
LoadedInc.
- Driver 4 Trailer - Atari has released the first
trailer for Driver 4.
- Gearbox special video clips - Gearbox has
some
exclusive behind the scenes footage from the filming of the History
Channel special.
- Tank Killer revealed -
Polish based publisher City Interactive today revealed plans for
Tank Killer, an
upcoming World War 2 PC action game that will use the engine from
T-72: Balkans
on Fire.
- Jack Keane announced - Publisher CDV and developer Deck 13
announced
Jack Keane (working title), a classical adventure game for the PC. The
game will be available in Q1 2007.
- SiN Episodes delay - Replacing the early Fall 2005 release date,
The official SiN Episodes website now has word that we will see
the first episode, titled Emergence, in early 2006. With Ritual
self-funding the title, it's pretty safe to say that we won't see a premature
release this time around. Ritualistic also mentions that
the game will be shown at the latest CPL event in Dallas today.
- Acamar Rising released/demo - Beteo Software has released
Acamar Rising, a new
first person space shooter. The game is available as
a trial version
that permits 60 minutes of play on the full game before unlocking unlimited
play will require the purchase of an activation key.
- Far Cry European Assault Map Pack -
A
new map pack for Far Cry (mirrors:
GH,
AFF),
the popular FPS created by Crytek Studios, has been released. It contains
eight new maps created by a number of clans together with some talented
mappers on the initiative of -=UBW=- Achilles. Another single player map-pack

- EVE Online - Red Moon Rising released - CCP Games announced the
launch of EVE Online: Red
Moon Rising, a new content upgrade to its MMORPG EVE Online: Exodus.
- CS:Source player models next week -
Valve's regular weekly Steam news update has word that two new player
models will be released next week, one for each team, for their popular
multiplayer shooter Counter-Strike: Source.
- What's Infinity Ward doing? - So, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 2
launched to great reviews on both platforms and the #1 sales position on the
Xbox 360 charts. You may be wondering what Infinity Ward is up to now.
The
studio sent out a quick updating listing a few ways they plan to support
the PC version of the game: "Hi everyone, Now that we're back in the
office, we're continuing to work on several updates, including some new
content, map editing tools and an anti-cheat solution and should have more
details available soon. To all our fans, thanks for your interest and your
support. We'll keep you posted as soon as we can."
