- SWAT 4 preview - 1Up.com has posted
a
brief preview of SWAT 4, the upcoming next game in the tactical shooter
series from Irrational Games and VUGames.
- Officers Q&A - Gamersinfo.net let us know they have posted
a
Q&As with Nikolay Demchenko of Game Factory Interactive as he talks about
their upcoming WWII RTS game Officers..
- Pacific Storm Q&A - Game Chronicles has posted
a new Q&A with Sergey Titarenko of Lesta Studio as he talks about Pacific
Storm, their upcoming WWII RTS game.
- Legion Arena Beta Test & Screenshots - Slitherine Software sent us
a note that
they are now taking applications for Legion Arena Beta testers. Beta
testing will start in November with a small closed test group, but gradually
open up to more players once the servers have proven they can handle the load.
They've also released 2 new screenshots (#1,
#2) that show off some of the customization options for your troops. The
player can choose the textures ach of their units will use, so you're not
limited to an army of all one colour, only your imagination.
- Ghost Recon 2 trailer - The official Ghost Recon 2 website has
posted the
second trailer, showing off more from this upcoming Tom Clancy tactical
shooter sequel.
- Need for Speed Underground 2 movie -
There's yet another new movie trailer for Need for Speed Underground 2,
showing the street racing simulation sequel by EA Black Box in motion. The
movie shows off the entire Marathon Sprint track in four minutes of
screaming gameplay footage.
- The Witcher movie - The official Witcher website has offers
a new
movie for this upcoming action/RPG title. In related news, GameConnect
Magazine have
a featured story about "The Witcher", known from Andrzej Sapkowski's works
(books). The Story includes: story-line, engine details, main character
details and many screenshots, renders and concept arts.
- PT Boats: Knights of the Sea movie - There's a
new movie
of PT Boats: Knights of the Sea, the upcoming World War II naval combat
game.
- RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 demo v1.2 - Hot on the heels of the previous
upgraded demo, there's yet
another updated demo (v1.2) for RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. This final demo
addresses a sizable number of issues as detailed in the accompanying release
notes, and as before it includes the first three tutorials along with a demo
scenario titled "A Taste of Paradise" that you can play at the Apprentice

- John Deere American Farmer demo -
A playable demo for John Deere American Farmer is now available, offering
a chance to try out this budget-priced 3D agrarian real-time strategy game by
Gabriel Entertainment.
- Void War demo & retail patches v1.00.30 - Rampant Games has
released
the first patches for Void War, elevating both the demo and retail
editions of their sci-fi space combat game to version 1.00.30.
- Hidden & Dangerous 2 / Sabre Squadron patches v1.12 - 3D Gamers has
new patches for both
Hidden and Dangerous 2 and the new expansion pack
Saber Squadron, brining both games to version v1.12. This upgrade ensures
multiplayer compatibility with the original game after that's patched to v1.12
too, and further fixes the hold command and applies a few balance tweaks.
- Total Club Manager 2005 v1.01 patch -
A new patch is now available for Total Club Manager 2005 (download
~ 17MB), mainly updating the database with the latest transfers and fixing
some minor issues.
- LMA Pro Manager 2005 patch - Codemasters has released
a new patch for LMA Pro Manager 2005 (63.9MB), updating this management
sim to version 1.1.
- 18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal retail patch v1.06 -ValuSoft
has released
a final patch for 18 Wheels of Steel: Pedal to the Metal, bringing the
retail edition of the trucking simulation by SCS Software to version 1.06. The
patch fixes a problem in the job planner, as well as a few truck cabin
interior textures.
- Battlecraft Vietnam editor v1.24 - I've noticed over at
PatchesScrolll that a new release of
Battlecraft Vietnam editor is now available, bringing this map editor for
Digital Illusion's multiplayer shooter Battlecraft Vietnam to version 1.24.
This version 1.2.4 release adds support for the tunnel code, along with new
objects and the object tab system, underground in-game maps, and many other

- Civilization 4 confirmed -
Firaxis has confirmed to Computer&VideoGames that they are working on
CivIV, the new sequel in the hit strategy-sim series.
- PARDUS - MMOBG in Open Alpha -
The PARDUS team let us know
that after more than one year of development they successfully started the
open alpha of their free sci-fi Massive Multiplayer Online Browser Game -
"Pardus". They already have
over 2000 members playing the game!
- Half-Life 2 Singleplayer Requires Internet Authentication -
In recent interview at GameSpy,
Doug Lombardi said that during installation the user will be prompted to
authenticate the copy and create a Steam account. After that is complete, the
single-player and LAN games do not require an Internet connection.
- Uncut Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude Coming -
According to PC.IGN, an uncut and uncensored version Leisure Suit Larry:
Magna Cum Laude for PCs is going to be released in the U.S. on October 26th.
"While the differences between the M rated version and Adult Only version are
apparently non-existent in terms of actual gameplay content, those that waited
hoping to see some more skin, like our randy Executive Editor Steve Butts,
won't be dissappointed. Plenty of bare bods will grace the monitor of any PC
with Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude - Uncut and Uncensored on it. All
