S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Delayed - briefly

Publisher THQ announced that the new original PC title S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is now scheduled to ship in the fiscal fourth quarter (sometime between Jan 1 and March 31st of next year) in "order to maximize its sales potential".

For the second quarter of fiscal 2005, the company expects net sales of approximately $82 million and a net loss of about $0.20 per share. Key product releases anticipated for the quarter include WWE Day of Reckoning for the Nintendo GameCube, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Full Spectrum Warrior for the PC. The company announced that the new original PC title S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is now scheduled to ship in the fiscal fourth quarter in order to maximize its sales potential.

feeling the heat from doom3 and HL2. or they realize they can't release a buggy game and expect the world to beta test it (like most Western European games) :D

im truly believing this site is all n00b gamers. STALKER not released because of HL2 and Doom3?.. gimme a bloody break. STALKER is it's own game that isn't a game that will feel any effect of Doom3 or HL2. STALKER is a different game period. Buying HL2 wont stop me from buying STALKER.
