Thanks to the data leaked from the recent NVIDIA hack as well as leaks from multiple accurate sources we finally know pretty much everything there is to know about the entire lineup of the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 4000-series graphics cards. That includes the specs, release date, and gaming performance as well as ray tracing performance for RTX 4090, 4080, 4070, 4060, 4050 Ti, and 4050 GPUs.

I have no interest in these cards whatsoever.
The power consumption is just way too much.
You're going to need to cool the room artificially to keep the card at normal temps.
These are not 'green products' at all.
What's our planet worth?

I'm 100% with you on this Csimbi. It does not feel like progress at all - literally zero innovation. Seems like nVidia is trying to take full advantage of the current market situation and I hope that either AMD or Intel will fuck them over latest in 2023.
Now if they shown a 4090 chip that has 150-200% of the performance of the 3090 with the same TDP, that would be a whole different story. The higher end 3090 chips do have a TDP of 350W, but with cards that can draw up to 600W, it seems that not even a 1000W PSU would be enough.

Intel never really succeeded in the discrete graphic card business.
They should have continued investing R&D budget into their CPUs.
They are loosing on both of these fronts.
My bet is on AMD.
Now that the NVidia source code is out there, we might see a change on the landscape very soon.

AMD will probably be a bit more efficient, but yeah, 500 watts for graphics alone is just beyond what's reasonable.
The pricing on these will probably be set based on the current situation too, so they're going to be insanely expensive.
This is gaming, here. There's an amount one can think of paying, and then there are ridiculous nonsense amounts that just stop making any sense.

The power draw is ridiculous. I'd rather pick up a more power efficient version of the RTX 3080 at this rate... but if performance is doubled with RTX Ray Tracing then that's promising, I just think the list of games that support and utilize it is still fairly underwhelming.

With high electricity prices, it stops being fun. Here in the Czech Republic, soon 20% of the population will not be able to pay their bills. For information, the Czech Republic has its own nuclear power plants, we produce 1MWh for 1 euro. But then we send the electricity we produce to the exchange in Germany and buy it back for 160 euros. On top of that, there are taxes, allowances and the distributor's margin, and 1MWh is now priced at EUR 250/MWh for end customers. So if it goes on like this, gentlemen, I will not play the game for a while.
Yeah well ask, for all the small states subsidising the price of energy in Germany.... it really sucks. Because I don't make as much money as the Germans, the Czech Republic and Germany are two completely different worlds in terms of living standards and salaries.

Sad, but so true. I'm from Slovakia and its basically the same here. What I love in particular is, how our shitty politicians are trying to convince everyone how GOOD we have it here in Slovakia and they keep showing the gas prices in western countries, but never mention the obvious, that the average salary is 5-6x higher there :D

greetings to my Slovak brother! :-)
I know it's pretty much the same there as it is here. Politicians completely ignore the common people. The total arrogance of all of us who work and pay taxes :(

Who is the bear and what's it saying?
OK, in short, first of all, it's an interview from Slovakia. The bear and the other people, they are representatives of the industry in Slovakia and they complain that the Slovak government absolutely ignores them, nobody talks to them at all. The same thing, that they have sent perhaps 500 letters to Brussels and so far no one has answered them. What is going on?
They say there that it is simply not possible to cut off Russian gas in Slovakia, because the consequence will be a gradual halt to industry and normal life in Slovakia. They say that they alone represent 700 companies and that other companies, millions of jobs, etc., etc., are linked to them. They simply say it there in a half-baked way, as if for morons: there is gas - we produce it, there is no gas = we do not produce it.
I probably don't have to write that it is not only about heating with gas, but also about the production of many things necessary for life, including fertilizers.
Unfortunately, the Slovak government seems to be completely out of touch with reality. Here in the Czech Republic, unfortunately, it is completely up to us. While our Prime Minister Fiala was in Kiev on Monday (and now he looks like a mega hero). In Madrid, the price of electricity was discussed, i.e. how to create an alternative market so that people do not have to pay 200 times as much for electricity as it costs to produce. To understand this better in the Czech Republic a nuclear power plant produces 1MWh of energy for 1 euro but I as a final taxpayer pay 180-250 euro per 1MW/h. This is because the cheap energy from Czech goes to Germany on the stock exchange and there we are defacto subsidising expensive German renewable energy, because the morons have shut down most of their nuclear power plants and, as you probably know, they are going to shut down the last 3 that are still running this year. And back to the Madrid talks, there was no representative of the Czech Republic there, the Czech Republic is reportedly not interested. So here it's just the same, while about 20% of the people here can't pay their electricity bills and get social benefits for the poor, the politicians don't give a damn about the people, they have no interest in helping us or making our lives easier.
When it comes to war, more guns and more hate is definitely not the solution in my opinion. A peaceful solution must be sought.

Something like that is going on here as well.
We sell good quality products of our own cheap to the west and we have to pay a lot for low quality stuff to fill our own needs.
This is just business.
This is what politicians should focus on stopping.
You know, Putin is not very wrong about the West.
However, he is going on about it the wrong way.
He should build his own business in the interest of the local people instead of waging a way on people whose culture they shared not so long ago.

Hey, I totally agree. The EU is totally rotten and corrupt. We have thousands of extremely well-paid officials in Brussels who invent that the cucumber has to be properly curved, or those special outlets for other genders. At a time of energy crisis. Problems everywhere you look. It just seems to me that everything is wrong. In the Czech Republic, we used to have agriculture at such a level that we were self-sufficient and still exported. Then came the EU and quotas. They almost ruined everything and now we import most of our food expensively. For example, I don't know why I buy potatoes and radishes from Belgium (nothing against my friends in Belgium) but sorry, we have fields here too :-) I'm afraid nobody will fix it and the EU will eventually fall apart, we may already have more civil servants than workers overall. We have a fifth of the people working in the civil service alone. With higher salaries in the civil service than in the private sector. What does that mean? That it's a long-term unsustainable model.
I have to agree with what you write about Putin. I don't like the war at all. I don't agree with what he's doing. On the other hand, the West has spent more than 10 years overlooking all the bad things that have happened there. It didn't have to go that far at all. Now a lot of people are dying because of it.
Besides, the media incites mass hatred against Russia every day, I saw a video on YouTube where a Ukrainian man is legally encouraging the killing of Russian children (inspired by a fascist from WWII). Is this really okay? Or does FB allow me to post that I can kill Russians. WTF, no social network should allow any approval of killing, anyone!!! Are we even human anymore?
Russia is unfortunately backward and has a completely different mentality than we do. They don't copy the Western model, they don't run mighty companies like Facebook, they don't control the media to the extent that they do here. It seems to me that their ability to put something on the Internet is about the same as here 20 years ago. Putin doesn't have a smartphone or the internet. I feel sorry for ordinary Russian people who may not yet understand exactly what is going on. And we who know what's going on have to keep quiet again, because the truth is not good for anyone here.

Exactly what our PM did - we are staying out of this, however, we help refugees the best we can.
There is no good choice for us.
