The Adrenaline Vault is reporting that Chris Sawyer's RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 has gone gold and is on schedule for an October 15 launch. Numerous improvements to the original release are packed into this new product, including more types of roller coasters and rides. New features in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 include an improved ride creation system for more control while building roller coasters and scenery, new shops and stores to help raise park profits, new park themes to help attract customers and a scenario editor.
