Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Housemarque have released a 28-minute gameplay deep dive video of Returnal ahead of its launch for PlayStation 5 on April 30. The deep dive features Housemarque business development and marketing manager Mikael Haveri, narrative director Gregory Louden, and game director Harry Krueger as they guide viewers a number of typical “runs” through Atropos, where the modular aspects of the levels change, but certain progress persists. It begins fairly early in the game, where protagonist Selene has unlocked a melee weapon and made some initial inroads in the ruins, and follows into the first real “boss” battle, then onto the “Crimson Wastes” (the second region of the game).
