At TGS 2025, Capcom had a playable demo of Resident Evil Requiem, and below you can find a video showcasing 17 minutes of gameplay from it. Capcom will release Resident Evil Requiem on February 27th, 2026.

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth main installment in the Resident Evil series, developed and published by Capcom. Scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, it will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows (Steam), and Xbox Series X/S. The game follows FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates mysterious deaths at the Wrenwood Hotel, set approximately 30 years after the destruction of Raccoon City.
The gameplay is notable for allowing players to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives at any time, a departure from recent exclusively first-person entries. The first-person mode offers tense, realistic survival horror, while third-person caters to players preferring more action. Grace must evade a stalking monster throughout the hotel, using stealth, distractions, and light sources that can also attract danger.
The storyline highlights Grace's personal connection to the location, as her mother died there eight years earlier. The setting and atmosphere promise a chilling experience with advanced graphics, including path traced lighting via Capcom's RE Engine.
Noteworthy is that the game was initially planned as an open-world multiplayer but reverted to a traditional single-player experience to meet fan expectations.
