Three months ago, THQ and Volition released Red Faction: Guerrilla on the consoles. While console owners have been saving Mars for a while now, PC gamers who have been waiting patiently for THQ to release the PC port of Red Faction Guerrilla will apparently be rewarded when the game ships to stores on September 15. IGN reports that the PC port of the first person shooter will not just include the original console game but a bunch of extra content as well. All for just $40.
Unlike the console versions of Guerrilla, the PC version will also receive the recently released Demons of the Badlands downloadable content, which takes place three years before the events of Guerrilla. Demons features Samanya, the female lead of Guerrilla, as the playable character as she and the Marauders fight against the EDF, providing additional information on who the Marauders are and their history on Mars (which will stand out to Red Faction fans). The Demons content is instantly accessible within the PC version, so you can immediately play the prologue of the story before you play through the full campaign.
As we covered previously in the DLC preview, Demons will cover three primary missions: the first two missions will take between fifteen to twenty minutes, while the last mission will take between thirty and forty minutes. What's more, Demons includes many more checkpoints and focuses more on expanding stages vertically, with levels that involve climbing ladders to new areas or scaling cliffs. Additionally, Demons packs a number of extra side missions or tasks into the game. For instance, there are at least eleven separate demolition tasks, two transportation missions, a few house arrest jobs and additional objectives. Coupled with this are three new vehicles, including a new Marauder dune buggy and a walker with spiked arms designed to smash EDF machines easily.

Apart from adding in the Demons of the Badlands content, the developers also packs in six new Wrecking Crew maps from the latest dlc pack, the two exclusive Wrecking Crew maps that were only available for players that pre-ordered Guerrilla, and two multiplayer maps that are exclusive to the PC version. The PC build will also get access to two new gameplay modes: bagman and team bagman, and while we weren't told about these two modes, it's nice to know that all of these items will be tossed in for free. For players that are interested in achievements, there is also Games For Windows Live support as well. Looks like it'll definitely be worth the wait for PC users.
