I just played the game and im quite dissapointed, when i first saw the enviroment, i came to think of Half-Life.. then i got me a good laugh, cause this is half-life engine.. I am very dissapointed at this game, netcode is extremly bad, the game engine looks very old compared to the "modern" engines. But this is my opinion, what can I say im not a very big fan of HL engine.

Hi ive only played the demo of this game i like it but i have played better what disappoints me its seems very buggy with the multiplay i hope the full version is bug free.

played demo, looks ok, plays nice, maybe get the full game...btw this is not the half life engine,... its V's own geomod engine.. and quite new compared to the HL engine..

I have the full game, and it looks good and plays good. i havent tried it online yet so i cant tell ya if its bug free. The only downfall is the AI and some of the characters follow simple scripts:Example, when you encounter a fellow red faction member, an enemy always shows up and kills that guy, well ive done it many of times, but ive been able to kill some of these guys b4 they even get the chance to shoot the poor fellow, so what happens?? The red faction character will sometimes talk to dead bodies(and air) and then just die without any1 being around, thats what upsets me the most, because the result of each action i do should have a different reaction.Other than that its an alright game.

I have the FULL Program. Got it from COSTCO.. IT'S COOL... but.. It's just another HIGH-SPEED.. Quake kinda thing. I've played the MULTI-USER on the INTERNET and it seems great. Haven't had any problems yet at all.. except where a few guys have tried to CREATE their own MAPS, or EDIT the Original ones. (that's normal though.... when a new game comes out.) if you like the QUAKE type GAME PLAY. JUST RUNNING AROUND and SHOOTING ANYTHING that moves.. You'll love RED Faction. p.s.. pick the BIGGEST GUY you can PICK. they don't move any slower than any other character, and they can handle getting hit about 10% more than any other character... have fun -sapphire

This is just a very cool 3D shooter, in my experience, the engine looks a bit like the one used in star trek elite force, even the way the characters keep repeading themself ("your gonna die miner" or "it's just u and me now!!" or "don't shoot! i am unarmed...") But hey that's cool, and i find the riding of the machines very nicely done. About buggs, i don't have a clue what previous commenters are talking about, i had absoluetly no buggs anywhere... All and all a very nice 3d shooter, with some funn extra's

This was the first game I purchased with my PS2. The graphics are good. Movement and combat are fairly easy to grasp. Yes, this is like most other first person shooters, but then again I haven't seen any truly original concepts in first person shooters in a very long time.

Hello , i purchase this game and like everybody was telling lot´s of great thinks about it , i can´t wait to get home to play the game . What a disapointment it was , ( somebody had said that it was better tham Max Payne ), i believe that this person never played Max Payne , this game have medium GFX , The sound is great but speech of soldiers boring and always the same , the moving of the enemys is unrealistic and shoting at us and them go back and them shoot again . The guns look like plastic ones . Enemys apear from nowhere after killing some enemy . The story is nothing special . It´s nice but not real enought to compare to Max Payne ( Best game i hever seen so far ). I´m very desapointed whit Red Faction , next time do it more real . Sorry about my English .

THiS GAME IS CRAP. IT STILL NEEDS ALOT OF FINE TUNING. THE ONLY REAL THING SEPERATING THIS GAME FROM ANY OTHER FIRST PERSON SHOOTER IS THE G-MOD TECH. THATS COOL. OTHERWise its a pretty standard shootem up game nothing new or special accept the g-mod.

How any geezer can dis this game, God only knows. I wreckon itz fu**ing cool. Itz been well put together, the graphics are wicked and gameplay spot on. Itz great fun if ya like spaceworld kinda environments and the games a fair size too - lotza good weapons and battles and variety. There's even some well coded and designed vehecles to control along the way aswell. I'm banging on about the PC version which I found to be satisfyingly stable, maybe the only pain is that sometimes waiting for sections of the game to load in gets kinda frustrating - but that's just a niggly fing. Game Guru gave 78, I wreckon 90 ! Laterz .. .

It's a cool game,and it's good that you can change the difficulty whenever you like. I haven't encountered any bugs if the blinking walls don't count. and by the way, the funniest thing about the game is that when you throw a remote charge at a guy, he goes "AARGH!" around the room. haha!
