this game has far less geo-mod than the first one, in RF1 you could start blowing up the ground nearly anywhere and tunnel to china - in RF2 you can only blow up what you are allowed to at various places in the game which was a complete step back in my opinion.

Hmmmm 8-10 hours.Man i finished game in 4 and i died only once,in last boss.Game is worst than Red Faction 1.To short and less geo-destruction that in previous sequel.Crap!

the only reason the first one made "any" money was simply the destructable environment, after that it was a bore and nobody played it online. The new RF2 looks the same, boring. Obviously THQ has lots of money, but we can be thankful they have the publishing rights to S.T.A.L.K.E.R http://www.stalker-game.com

RED FACTION 2 IS ACTUALLY WORSE THAN RED FACTION 1. the geo-mod was toned down so much its basically not even there. story line is worse. umm no MULTIPLAYER??????? who makes a game with no MULTIPLAYER THESE DAYS? are they on SOME TYPE OF ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE???? GRAPHICS ARE OK NO IMPROVEMENT. NOT ENOUGH SWEARING AND VIOLENT CONTENT. i know this may sound like i like violence but it plays like buggs bunny. I WANT A FPS TO BE AN FPS NOT A TV COMMERCIAL. THE WEAPONS DID NOT GET BETTER. BASICALLY IT SEEMS LIKE THEY DECIDED TO TAKE RED FACTION 1 MAKE SOME NEW LEVELS GET RID OF THE GEO-MOD tone down the story and reship it calling it "RED FACTION 2" . WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON . OK THAT WAS THE "INTRODUCTION" know the real potty pants will be DEScribED. ok lets talk about the guns. Well they look bad graphics wise. IF you can't admire your gun after wiping the enemy down they where is the fun right? you agree? NO?. Weapons are not powerfull enough you can't blow up area's . you can only blow up a couple guys. OK you like that ? yeah? NO? what? lets move to character models . Well i think the eyes but again no IMPROVEMENT. there is no MAXIMUM OBTAINABLE LEVEL IF LIFE. you can always improve did they? ummm no. if you can't see your character doing the funky taunts after defeat the bad guys then where da fun go? where? it goo vaaaaa vooooooooom right passed that haaaa loooww head. KNOW ITS time for the funkathon feature. whats that mean? i have no clue. i could not feel the power in this game it was like an steak but it was like burn bad real bad. all the monsters are humaniod like. umm yeah lets change the face and call it a monster yeah cool idea eh? the land was stupid . no dirt. what the hell kind of game has no dirt???? if you can't dig in the ground pits and stuff then whats the geo-mod for looking pretty in the pink dress> huh? no the > is not a type o. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GO rating=20%. i did not like the carpets in the game! i mean if can't even get that right then why play the demo WHY?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

RF2... Now, I know why it's cheaper than the first. RedFaction 1 is soo much better in mostly everyways than RF2. Only thing I find a bit better is you got more weapons in RF2 but to what end? Like lots of ppl said, you can't even blow up sheetz. The Geo-Mod in RF2 is lame, close to not present at all. Other good thing in RF2, Lance Henrikson's participation as Molov. You can't save anywhere in the game which this, IS THE MAIN REASON I DON'T APPRECIATE THIS GAME. The game is short too, shorter than the first. No multiplayer in it as well..blah RF2 won't stay installed for long! S.T.A.L.K.E.R. should be better, and it'd better be or else, adios THQ! So now, I'm gonna play some Postal 2 instead cuz this one is just AMAZING IN EVERY WAYS!

It's a complete console to PC conversion with nothing new added for the PC version. I hope it's not a sign of things to come for the PC.

No a sign of things to come is the c0cksuckers at ATI and Nvidia who are going to split the PC market even "more" where games are gonna run better on Nvidia or ATI. If both companies had brains they would develop together and just compete on the speed of their product. Unfortunately both companies are too stupid to do this and that's why we will have games that take advantage of Nvidia over ATI or the other way around. We got review sites like NvNews but all they are is a middle-man seller of NVidia goods run by a few kids from school. They are useless. That's why I come to this site, though some reviews are questionable, this guy just posts the news and doesn't taint it or specially select what he wants his visitors to see. But just wait and see, market division for PC is coming, stupid ass idea, but look who calls the shots...

Of course, the reviews are questionable. I have my own opinion and taste...Some readers agree with my opinions; others disagree.:)I think it's pretty ok. Only I don't like dirty words here. Maybe I’m getting old...

And Nnvidia and ATI, yeah they indeed suck. How you said, "If both companies had brains they would develop together..",but that's another story.
I would like to review hardware too, especially CPU's & VideoCard. Honestly, some benchmarks even at THG are weird. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy another test PCs and cards :) Maybe sometime in future...

I was sooooo dissapointed.. really liked RF1, spent many hours on it. RF2 was... well..stupid. To add to what other people said, the brain-dead saves drove me mad (why change it?). I think they would have been better not to release it this way, as now no-one will ever buy a RF3.

How can you all sit there and slate a genius of a game, the 2nd is in every way superior to the first except for the GEO-MOD.

I'd give it a 5 or 6 outta 10, its got some cool gameplay but not what you would expect for a sequel to the original RF. I mean it was so cool you'd think this one would be awesome but its really like one of the many bad console-PC game conversions that lack the features PC gamers are used to like user save points, customizable controls heck even real cheats for when were bored. The graphics were a bit washed too it hought even though the weapons were nice and explosions entertaining. Overall the lack of multiplayer to use all that nice hardware just polishes the fun off of it and leaves u pissed that you cant get all the weapons from the start like with 'bighugmug' I WANT MY PRECISION!!!
