Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios at Sony Computer Entertainment, revealed via twitter that Sony is working on an official Playstation 4 Remote Play application for PC and Mac. Some people asked if we plan to provide Remote Play function to PC, and yes, we are indeed working on an official application for PC/Mac. :D
It will be interesting, because on Wednesday, the indie developer released a modified version of Sony's PS4 Remote Play for PC that he has been working on for the past year. His PC app is actually a port of an Android version he previously created. As of now, Sony's official PS4 Remote Play app only works with the Vita and a select few Android smartphones. A reaction from Sony isn't all that surprising, especially considering the fact that Twistedâ€™s PC app isnâ€™t free (it sells for 6.50 GBP or roughly $9.78).

Coincidentally on the same day that someone is trying to release one they've made themselves as Sony had been utterly silent on the matter for years.

Why now when there's been demand for one for so long?

Conniving shits.

Possibly, because it looks like that there's no authorisation-required on remote-play if you have IP connectivity? (Twisted's forum post said that there was no PSN password required to use his client, those forums are in maintenance mode at the moment)
