PS4 Costs More Than $1,100 In Argentina? - console
(hx) 09:59 AM CEST - Sep,12 2013 - Post a comment / read (15)
Could you imagine paying this much for a console when the average annual salary is only $10k? :-(
The PlayStation 4 is set to cost the equivalent of $1,137 US Dollars on launch day in Argentina. Argentina has been experiencing a massive inflation crisis over the last year, with the government reporting 10% month on month inflation for most of this year. By comparison, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 cost about $600 USD at their launches in the country and the average Argentinian makes $10,000 USD per year according to the government.

PS4 cost 400$ in Bulgaria. The avarage annual salary is little under 5000$ in a year!

So, tell me again how poor argentinians are  And Bulgaria is EU member!

The situation in Romania is the same, btw. The two countries that are at the bottom in EU, and not only

PS4 costs 550$ pre-order in Romania and the average annual salary is 2400$
So, tell me again how badly argentinians have it.

Seriously dude ? I thought Romania was ahead to Bulgaria ?
How much in Euro does the middle class make in Romania ?

geraltofrivia(02:08 PM CEST - Sep,12 2013 )
We're behind everybody :)
200$/150euro average salary per month

tride(02:17 PM CEST - Sep,12 2013 )
Is that before or after taxes ?
Here after taxes you get around 413$/300 euro.... ffs!

Who cares, you don't want a shitty PS4 anyhow. Get a PC.

Truth is, Argentina isn't really as bad as everyone believes. I'm argentinian and here dollars are expensive as shit, but life in pesos is liveable. Only the things that are imported are expensive: consoles, pcs, music instruments, etc. But argentinians like to complain a lot. A LOT. This government in particular has bipolarised opinion completely: you're with or you're against, no greys. But consoles are definitely no point of comparission, i prefer not to be able to buy a ps4 (i wouldn't even if i could) and being able to buy food. Which almost everyone can.

Every country in the world screws over it's citizens via taxes.
Fuel prices in the UK are around the highest in Europe, for every £1 we spend on fuel in the UK the government takes about .60p of that in taxes.
I remember seeing in Australia the price of a bag of pasta was like £7, it's about £1.70 here.
Then our broadband is pennies, we have fibre optic 120mbps and full cable TV for £75 per month.
Games prices are all over the place around the world. Nothing new.

A £349 UK priced PS4 works out at 3156.80 Pesos. The value of the peso is poor. 1 peso is worth .11p in the uk. 1 peso equals .17 cents in US Dollars.
£1 equals 9.05 pesos

Every country on this planet provides its citizens (or simply put - slaves) to e minimun standart of living. That standart differs in different parts of the world.

But everywhere its the same. You have enough money to live and not die. You dont have enough money to buy a house for example, with a year or two salaries... You take credits and pay 20 years or so. The difference in developed countries and the other ones is that in developed countries you have more cash to spend on stuff you dont really need. This is a standart everywhere.

Everywhere you pay to the government for everything you own. For everything you need.

You pay for the privilege to have a house - the pay differs if you have a nicer house or not. Depends on what kind of materials, design you build it from. How luxurious it is, how comfortable it is to you. If you live a little bit nicer than the rest of the slaves, you pay more and more and more...

The whole system is a big pile of bullshit and that's a fact!

People accepted that they need to pay in order to live a life. They depend on some government like they depended since humanity exist.

So, it's our own fault that we live in this crap shitty system!

I fucking cant stand this shit anymore. I cant stand a majority of uneducated retards to give the power and control to a bunch of morons that live on my back!
