If you're not one for purchasing your games directly over
Steam but still have
taken the liberty of pre-ordering your copy of the Orange Box from GameStop, you
now have the ability to play the Team Fortress 2 beta, previously only for those
who've pre-ordered over Steam:
Valve and GameStop today announced that those who pre-purchase the PC edition
of The Orange Box at GameStop, the world's largest video game and entertainment
software retailer, before October 10th will save 10% off the regular price and
gain access to the beta version of Team Fortress 2 for the PC.
So if you don't want to purchase on Steam, but still want the same discount
price and the access to the TF2 BETA, you're now in luck. As an added bonus, if
you would rather pre-purchase the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the game, the 10%
discount will still apply. Sorry though, the TF2 BETA offer is only for the PC
version. |
