Javier: Resources per se do not exist in Praetorians. There is, however, the ability to train new troops in villages and fortress barracks. This allows the player to tune his forces with the type of troops he wishes to employ. Plus, deciding when to expand or when to consolidate your controlled villages is one of the keys in multiplayer.
