Sony has begun selling a new PlayStation 2 hardware package in Japan. Available exclusively through the Internet between June 21st and July 25th, customers who purchase a PlayStation 2 will receive DVD copies of 'The Matrix: Special Edition' and 'The Perfect Storm: Special Edition.' Officially dubbed 'PlayStation 2 DVD-Pack,' the package retails for 39,800 yen ($319). It's believed Sony plans to continue the promotion throughout 2001 in Japan with alternating pack-in movies.
