PlanetSide 2 might be free, but players can fork over real money if they're looking to get ahead. Sony Online Entertainment is offering the PlanetSide 2 Alpha Squad Package, which unlocks goodies like a long-term experience booster, SOE currency, and other in-game perks. For $39.99, the Alpha Squad Package unlocks instant beta access and 4000 Station Cash (basically $40.00 in currency). The rest of your exclusives will be unlocked at launch. If you're wondering when launch is, SOE is sticking with "before December 31, 2012."
-Exclusive permanent camo set, including matching vehicle, armor and weapon skin.
