HomeLAN - What other unique gameplay elements will Pathologic have?

Our game is very special. It cannot be compared to anything. Even the genre of the game cannot be defined. Gameplay consists basically of the three parts - you must find resources (which are very hard to get) to care about your health and equipment, you must discover the main mystery of the plot, taking care of character's assignments, you must save or bring to death different NPCs. You also must avoid infection (every place or item can be dangerous) and you must organize your time properly, because "Pathologic" is a real-time game. You can trade, fight, rob or pillage. You can care only about yourself or help other people. It all depends on the player's choice.

There are lots of random factors in the game. The amount of resources, prices, the number of trespasses and random encounters - all these things are determined by town's AI. The main factor - contaminated zones - is also random. The hero must get to the part of the city where the character lives whose life depends on today's quest may be badly contaminated so that the only way to pass through is to buy or pillage the necessary amount of special equipment. Some NPCû may die if you ignore their sudden cry for help. All such things will affect the game final. Actually there are 5 main final endings - but every one is a different variation, depending on the saved and dead NPCs.

Anyway it's highly recommended to walk it through with each character. All stories are absolutely different - though the main occurrences and some fatal events are the same.
