Ice-Pick Lodge is releasing Part 1 of Pathologic 2. Their creeptastic new trailer really sets the tone for what this game is going to be: a narrative-driven thriller with an eye for an unsettling atmosphere.

Pathologic 2 – Part 1 gives you twelve days to try and keep yourself and the people of your small village alive. You will face numerous lose-lose scenarios and need to do what you can to make the best out of a terrible situation. The game lets you approach those scenarios in a number of different ways. Maybe someone will come looking for a fight. You’ll need to decide if you want to use your fists or your wallet to get out of that particular dust-up. And the scary part is that the true enemy can never be killed. The plague is always coming, what will you do to stay alive? Your options are many in your quest to survive. The number of systems the devs have shown off so far is kind of staggering. It really does appear that if you can think of it, you can do it. It will be interesting to see if Ice-Pick Lodge can pay off the promise they’ve shown in their atmospheric trailers. Pathologic 2 – Part 1 is coming May 23 to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
