High Gear offers a First Look at Acclaim's Paris-Dakar Rally that offers a wealth of info on this PC & PS2 game (shipping in June), as well as 13 new screenshots. "The game will offer you an abundance of ways to 're-model' your car, bike or quad. Pot holes cause bone jarring effects and will eventually cause your suspension to collapse, fallen trees will block your path, rocks are a dangerous enemy and can wreck your sump, crush your suspension or crack your axle, mud patches will slow you down and could cost you the race if you lose too much time, etc. You should even be careful around Tumbleweed, because if enough of them hit your windscreen, it'll crack and eventually shatter. And then you'll be in even more trouble, because without a windscreen you'll be vulnerable to the sandstorms, dust devils or tornadoes that you'll encounter on your trip." [more]
