Apparently someone named NOT HAPPY! over on Codemaster's forums has lodged an official complaint with the FTC about misleading customers as to what Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising would contain. An Official complaint has been lodged with NSW Office of Fair Trading against Codemasters for misleading and false advertisement for the game Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and I have also sent copies of the complaint to the Australian media
In related news, In a new chat over at the UK-based Telegraph website, the game's executive producer Sion Lenton is already talking about their plans for downloadable content. He claims Codemasters has some "very ambitious plans" in this area".

Update: Codemasters announced that a PC patch is in development as they monitor this PC bugs/game issues thread, and an Xbox360 & PS3 game update is in development.

The interesting bit is on the 4th page, where a poster lists comments made during developer interviews, the promise of features that never made it into the game. Here are a few examples:

Good on him, hope he gets somewhere with it.

I had to go to trading standards about Codemasters with another title a few years back, was an awfully drawn out process that took forever.

its about time someone did this, so Manny other games have failed there promises and there is no way to tell till you buy it then find ur screwed.... more action like this is needed. but it also needs to be reported on just as much.

Well surprise,surprise Codemasters lied. They never learn. I was waiting for a demo, but was very surprised when the demo was pegged back -or not. This is an utter load of bollocks and basicaly promotes BI stock, most OFP?ArmA 1/2 vets will just stick with BI, since they obviously know how to treat their fans. BI must be pissing themselves with laughter at the CM forums posts.
I seriously hope CM get their balls kicked for this AND lose jobs, because the smug bastards deserve it :lol:
