The RTX 3090 will still remain the fastest card in the lineup, but thanks to a relatively small difference in clock speeds and identical TDP of 350W, the RTX 3080 Ti is to offer very similar performance.
The RTX 3080 Ti is here to compete with RTX 3090 though, but rather offer a new option for those who were not able to buy RTX 3080. A higher memory capacity of 12GB GDDR6X and a wider bus, will provide a visible bandwidth increase. NVIDIA believes that this will help both gamers and creators alike.
NVIDIA announced that RTX 3080 Ti will cost 1199 USD, a 500 USD increase over RTX 3080 while offering 18% more cores and 20% more memory.
NVIDIA also announced RTX 3070 Ti which is based on full GA104 GPU with 6144 CUDA cores. This SKU will also get GDDR6X memory, but the capacity will remain the same as RTX 3070’s, which is 8GB. This model will cost 599 USD.
The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti will be available on June 3 starting at $1,199, with the RTX 3070 Ti available on June 10 starting at $599. Both GPUs will be available for purchase as custom boards—including stock-clocked and factory-overclocked models—from leading add-in card providers, including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galax, GIGABYTE, Inno3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, Zotac and other regional providers around the world.
Limited-edition NVIDIA Founders Edition boards will also be available. Look for GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPUs at major retailers and etailers, as well as in gaming systems from major manufacturers and leading system builders worldwide. |
