nVIDIA ForceWare Drivers v178.13 WHQL - tech

Again an empty gimmick like announcement from Nvidia.

What GPUs on what resolutions present these increases?

Piss off Nvidia.

Well, I would rather see such announcements from ATI/AMD, since they only seem to pinpoint themselves on 3DMark.

They deliver without much fuss.

Simply don't buy their products, take a cold shower, and avoid posting empty rants.

If i need your input, i'll ask for it.

Not buying is not enough. They need shit on their faces like they deserve. People need to know what cheap, fake, cheating opportunists they are.

Now, you take a hot shower and continue jerking off.

That doesn't make sense. If you 'really' cared that much, you would be posting your hatred towards Nvidia on an Nvidia forum, instead of wasting time telling people to take a hot shower and jerk off; and since when do people actually request input on forums? isn't the point here to partake in witty banter and discuss something of relevance?

It's fine to hate Nvidia though, just.. relax a little

Back on topic.

You are claiming that those statistics prove nothing? so why don't you try and prove them wrong?
Have you actually benched the previous WHQL release (I think that was 177.83) against 178.13? comparing gains? guess not.

Until you have done that, you cannot bitch about Nvidia's release notes, therefore your comments are utterly pointless.

True, this is the basic function of forums. Still, i attacked Nvidia and he attacked me. If i understand correctly, it is a basic rule of all forums not to attack other members. As a result i attacked back.

Anyway i didn't say that the statement is false. I said it's generic and it's typical of Nvidia behavior. Maybe just one card in one resolution presents these improvements and yet they decided to go ahead and sell it as the holy grail driver. If they actually have done that improvement, kudos to them.

You can't dismiss the fact, that if a company wants to be taken seriously, should refrain from announcements like this. If they were serious they should say, 15% improvement for GTX 260 at 1680x1050 at this game or 10% improvement for GTX 280 at 2560X1600 at that game. That's the correct way to announce things.

But what the hell should i expect from a company that proceeds to yet one more renaming of their products, thus reaching the world record of 3 names for some specific products?

In order to prove them wrong, first of all i should buy their cheap ass cards, which launched at 580 euros and all of a sudden have lost 200 euros from their initial price once AMD launched their rv770s, PLUS i should bust my balls benchmarking.

There is no way i am going to do that with this generation of Nvidia cards. Maybe next time if they behave. I did it though for my 4850 and my 4870X2. Have a look if you like.

Nicely put, and yes, I agree with you; I just thought your earlier response was particularly crude considering how dedicated you are :P

I'll check out those benches in a tick.
