As some of you may know, I've been in contact with Ryan Nicholas who is the current producer of the NHL games for PC/PS2 for the last 2-3 years. We've been collecting data based on the requests and concerns of the users, and working on efficient ways of implementing them into the game (albeit slowly!).

I regret to inform all of you that I was notified on Monday that NHL10 will NOT be produced for the PC/PS2. As of now, the division in charge of putting out hockey games for those platforms have been reassigned to work on the console versions (XBOX 360 and PS3). Due to economic concerns, the separate PC version wasn't worth putting manpower into - I don't blame them, since the revenue from PC sales wasn't high enough to create a significant profit for the company.

For those who were expecting a "next-gen" experience this September will probably have to wait for longer, and it may possibly never come back at all.

So thats it - here we are, left with our small community to work on a discontinued series for the PC. Some of you may decide to move on to bigger and brighter things, others may stick around to keep the old games alive with new ideas and new spark. Whatever the case may be, HD will still be here to host your creations.
