No Current Plans for Red Dead Redemption PC - briefly

Rockstar Games has ruled out the possibility of Red Dead Redemption coming to PC - for the time being, at least. 'As of now, there are no current plans to bring Red Dead Redemption to the PC platform,' reads a statement on RockstarGames.com. 'If that should change, we will let you know.'

Seriously the game would not only look better on a PC, it would fucking play better(assuming those rocktards could make a decent port) fucking consoletard market.

I'll take the news lightly as my bet is rocktard want people to go out and buy the game on gaypad platform instead. I wouldn't write off a PC port yet, afteral they usually spend year twiddling there thumbs before making a cheap port for the pc to grab some more $$$

Anyway I dunno why I'm even bothered about the game, there loads of great pc games coming out this year. :? like starcraft2 right.. right?

They said the same about Starwars: The Force Unleashed, they even said the PC was incapable of processing the effects for the game engine or something like that and a year later, bam, PC Version was released.

They are likely just saying that to get you to buy the console version instead of waiting for a port to the pc and then when the sales are enough, they do a port......most of the time that is always the case.

Stumpus I don't know what your problem is, the PC is no console and thank fuck it isn't. PC games are meant to scale well in giving consumers decent quality/control settings to balance things with there PC hardware. If you buy hardware equivalent to that of x360,ps3 then you are going to be able to run those games just as well.. face is it 720p is hardly much of problem for even 3-4year old pc hardware. And I really wouldn't want PC software and hardware to become as limited and dumb downed as it is for the consoletard market.

that point is more about lazily developers who can't even bothered to optimize or add in decent/advanced(compared to consoletard release) gfx setting controls in the original release.

Sorry, but you make out that the PC is above everything -note the childish 'consoletard' statement from you.
Fact is, every game released on the PC HAS to TRY and play on last years, or even several years hardware, or the future -3months time- hardware.
Game setting sliders are NOT for fun, or to spend a week fucking about with when you get deeper into a game and fps suffer. The point about GTAV AND the rest is that even when they are made dedicated for the PC (The fact that console games get ported onto PC is testament to the fact that the console is preferred over the PC -in the old days it was the other way around) They can't optimise any PC game because the hardware is so overwhelming it's easier to just chuck it out and satisfy the majority and patch the most critical.
Do you think Rockstar where born yesterday and only applicable to the PC? Piss poor coding is present in Red Dead Redemption on PS3 compaired to the XBox. It's not a 'pc thang'. Coding on PC AND console can be shocking, but it doesn't make the PC better than any of the consoles by any stretch of the imagination. One PC is most definately NOT a bench mark of todays games machine, where as a console IS.

The PC IS probably the biggest console-sorry multimedia machine- out there, since it has to try and balance soooo much to keep the masses happy. Sliders -as i've said previously- are for exactly that, to keep the likes of you happy that you can at LEAST get the bloody game to play in double figures! You spend more time waiting for patches and messing with settings than i do.
I have several PCs to do what ever you do, and for that matter EVERY non anal user. Just when i want to play games i do exactly that -without an annoying pos that needs connected 24/7 or DRM issues.
I'm watching 1080p/24p blue ray on a 46" in 7.1 out the box. I'm watching a MONSTER library of HD downloadable movies, i'm listening and viewing 10,000 vids and chart singles etc,etc are you? Nope without a major outlay for blue ray 7.1 alone in true uncompressed HD sound. The rest is dreamland for PC.

I personally play games on the PC because its the first computer i ever had.

i started with a 486 DX2 66Mhz, i loved playing Colonization on there, it rocked. :)

I will always be a PC Gamer, there are some genre of games that should NEVER be on consoles and those are FPS and TPS (Third Person)

Racing Games, Beat'em Ups, sure, but not FPS or TPS.

Force Unleashed is easier to control on the PC using the Keyboard and mouse, for me atleast.

I don't use the PC because I want to sit and watch movies, videos and play games in letterbox size!

Sure I can do that shit aswel, but the PC is more than just for that, people use a PC to make that shit you consume, its a tool for productivity and creativity etc. I don't like what is happening to the PC and the various things like software/OS hardware becoming more dumbed down or crippled etc like that win7 junk because Microsuck are trying to manipulate things to the way they want things so targetting things at noob market does that.

There is a reason AWARE PC users will continue the battle they have against various industries like the Big gaming industry that is on purpose fucking around with PC users making things more difficult with shit like DRM because they want more sheeple in there more heavily controlled consoletard market to be good little consumers and buy what they put out and advertise for incl the movie industry. Its just less work with more profit available to those who get suckered into it. And i'm not advocating piracy, but lets be real various industries would rather you buy something at there set rip off prices and and also prevent you from getting your money back. They don't just want the whole fucking pie, they want the whole cake aswel :P

Really a lot of your so called shortfalls of the PC are not things that cannot be worked around and done better. They are just not on the whole for obvious money/market reasons. For other things you're just too lazily to learn shit, I prefer options and control, not being boxed in.

If you are happy with your setup you should have no reason to be upset by what I say, afteral you are in the majority, its not like the industry isn't appealing to people like you and their ignorance the most, for obvious reasons ofc :D it seems to work all the time.

Just don't expect me to join you and keep quiet, I couldn't give a shit about 7.1 uncompressed surround sound, much like you probably couldn't give a shit about all the things i say need to be improved even though it would be beneficial.

I like to express my point of view of some things about the PC and Console gaming. I actually did it several times but discuss with Stumpus is just a waste of time. As well as discuss with any fanboy of any type.

I'm agree with Koogle, Darknothing and JamieKirby, but try to argue with a person that only communicates trought insults and "trademark" phrases is just impossible. Not because he has or hasnt have a good point but because he is like a tape playing over and over the same shit with no personal opinion at all.

There's a lot of people out there and there's a lot of flavours too. Some people like consoles, some others likes more the PC and that's the way it is. If a person is happy with the choice he takes, been console or PC, why the fuck we have to listen -and what I think is worst- answer an idiotic console fanboy who appears to spend more time trying to degrade and insult the PC users than enjoying his crappy console?

Another asshole talking about "domination" instead of tastes. Is about what a person likes or dislikes. I see no reason to have a console because there is no game I really want to play that is a console exclusive or is a title that maybe I like but I'm not comfortable with the control system.

For example, Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games and the console version is a piece of shit. Basically the PC version also. The menu, the hit system, the graphics, the physics, the animations... but there it is Fallout 3 Nexus to improve every aspect of the game. Of course, in the beggining it was great, but as soon as the mods and HD packs start to came out we see the truly potential of the title, making the Vanilla version look like an inconclusive piece of shit and taking a great game and make it truly amazing. I have 2.36 GB in data files installed along my GOTY edition.

I make an example with FO3 in one of the ways a console will always be inferior, no mather what, you always have to take what the devs give you and cant make shit with it. Is one of the aspects I don't like about the Consoles, like play an FPS with a gamepad.

My 360 Elite console certainly has a use for me, besides playing some infrequent Fable 2 sessions, DVDs, i put a DVD on every night when i go to bed, its kinda be reserved to a DVD player.

JamieKirby - my ps3 does:
-my entire music collection nearly 2000 songs all at my finger tips
-receives streaming media from my PC using PS3 Media server, I stream even ripped blurays at top quality 1080p. My collection is around 180 movies currently
-hosts my entire photo collection from my PC
-cruises the internet
-plays blurray and dvd and cd

when I had the OtherOS feature (removed by Sony assholes) I was remote accessing my PC's at work and doing a lot of cool shit including media streaming and web page hosting.

It's not just a movie player for me but then you have a limited Xbox.

Its a preference you idiot, i am not saying whats better or whats worse, i am just saying, i prefer to play games on my PC and my console gets used for Fable 2 and DVD movies.

Never used a PS2 or PS3, so i can't comment on them, i was just stating my opinion, NOT contributing to this primitive console vs pc flame war, i left my childhood a LONG time ago, i just see different people's opinions and respect it, its not my problem that you can't do the same.
