Nintendo Switch Will Launch Without an Internet Browser - console
(hx) 04:22 PM EST - Feb,08 2017 - Post a comment
It looks like Nintendo Switch won’t just be missing out on media apps like Netflix at launch, the fledgling gaming console will also be missing an Internet browser. According to an interview of Nintendo’s President Tatsumi Kimishima, Nintendo is less focused about extra features like media and internet right at launch. When asked if Miiverse, Mii Maker and Wii U Chat will make an appearance on Nintendo Switch, Kimishima replied:
[I]n terms of the Internet browser, since all of our efforts have gone toward making Switch an amazing dedicated video game platform, it will not support it, at least at launch.
Of course, this doesn't mean that the Nintendo Switch will never get these features — just not at launch. Nintendo Switch launches on March 3, 2017.
