- Warez groups wracked by FBI raids - The Feds' continuing clampdown on software piracy throws the underground file-swapping

- Worm surprises as holiday e-mail - A newly discovered computer
worm, sent under guise of a holiday greeting, has popped up in the United States and
Europe.

- The Cyborgs Are Coming - Ph33r! Applied Digital Solutions announced
that it has developed a miniature, implantable identification chip for use in medical,
security and emergency applications. Called VeriChip, the 12mm by 2.1mm microchip,
containing medical and identification information, can be implanted under the skin and
read by an external scanner.
- Symbian moves US office to /dev/null - Symbian has closed its US
office in Redwood City, CA and all but three of the staff have been made redundant.
The cuts took place last month, when we were out of town.
