  • Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa demo v1.04 - Pocketwatch Games has released an updated playable demo of Wildlife Tycoon: Venture Africa. This v1.04 update fixes a crash bug, the Flamingo level difficulty, a mini-map issue and more.
  • rFactor Beta Patch - The rFactor website now offers a beta patch for this racing simulation.This public beta is intended to test a new matchmaker system for rFactor.

  • Virtual Vets Flesh Out D-Day - The History Channel is turning to video games to re-create key battle scenes for a new World War II documentary.   • BioWare Writing Contest - BioWare today announced that they are looking to hire new writers. Instead of people sending their resumes however, BioWare is looking for people to create Neverwinter Nights modules. These modules must offer a well paced plot, with proper dialogue and a non-linear structure.
  • CCT Game Calendar 2006 - It is a big, luxurious published wall calendar containing twelve unique artworks from games that have recently been published, or still being in production.
  • Powerful free Xbox 360 video converter from Videora - This is said to be able to convert a variety of video types into MPEG-2 files suitable for playing on Microsoft's new all-singing-and-dancing Xbox 360 console.
  • Xbox vs. 360: Do you really need HD? - Gamespot has a nice feature that further compares graphics between the 360 and its predecessor: "After taking a look at nine Xbox 360 launch games and comparing them side by side against their Xbox counterparts, it's clear that we can't automatically assume that the Xbox 360 version of a game will be significantly better than the Xbox version, especially if you don't have an HDTV."
