- OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast Announced -
Sega has officially announced OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, the newest game
in their popular arcade racing series. The game is being developed by UK based
Sumo Digital for the PC, PS2 and PSP platforms and will be released in March
2006.
- Mass Effect Preview - The Kansas City Star has
a preview of Mass Effect, Bioware's upcoming Xbox 360-exclusive action/RPG
in which your decision making during the game will have an effect on the
outcome.
- UT 2007 Info - According to
a forum post by Burnout, the latest issue of
Playstation magazine
contains an interview with some of the folks at Epic: "Big guns are good.
Big vehicles with bigger guns are better. There will be 18 in all, up from the
six that debuted in UT2004. Executive Producer Jeff Morris landed an Axxon
Cicada in front of us, giving us our first look at the detail achievable by
pairing UE 3 with great artists. With its vertical wings, belly turret, and
nose art, it looked like the offspring of an aircraft from WWII and WWXXII. It
was also difficult to look at it and not think that it would look perfectly at
home in a big-budget Hollywood movie without needing to be pre-rendered. "
- Mark Healey on Rag Doll - Gamasutra has conducted
an interview with Mark Healey, an artist at Lionhead who also
independently developed Rag Doll Kung Fu, recently released over Valve's Steam
content delivery service.
- Commandos Strike Force movie - Eidos has released
a new movie trailer for
Commandos Strike Force, showing more of the squad-based World War II
first-person shooter being crafted at Pyro Studios. In related news,

A new movie trailer for RTL Skispringen 2006 is now online, showing off
the new German ski jumping sports sequel by 49Games.
- Bonez Adventures Demo (updated) - The Bonez Adventures website now
offers
downloads of an updated version 1.1 demo for
Bonez
Adventures: Tomb of Fulaos, their third-person adventure role-playing game
set in the 1930. Word is: "This version is MAJOR improvement. Better
controls and playability, new videos, fixed bugs."

- Strategy First gets Steamed - Strategy First sent out

A new academic study has been released, claiming that game players are
more aggressive than non-game players.
- Getting Up on the silver screen -

picks up movie rights to Mark Ecko's tagging game, promises "an homage to
graffiti's rich culture."
